Story of the Mute

Recently, a friend of mine shared a story on Instagram about a girl ruthlessly stabbing a month old puppy to death with her shoe heels! The video crushed me to cores! I urge to voice out for every such scenario because a human without humanity is INHUMAN. It is indeed a growing cause of concern on how animal cruelty and abuse is increasing day by day.
This blog is just a voice for the mute and unheard Street Dogs who require much of our attention as HUMANS!
Not every person knows how to love a dog but every dog knows how to love a person because they don’t differentiate us as rich human or street human just like we do when it comes to caring for a street dog, they are not less a worth just because they are “STREET ANIMALS”. They are there to cheer you up when you feel blue, they shower unconditional love and make you want to be a better person. But these furry friends are not always lucky enough to get a loving master. They are abandoned many a times and are in need of the love and support they deserve.
Rocks hurled at them to shoo away the fear that we hold, it does hurt them, deprivation of food does weaken them. People chase them with sticks, hit them with stones. It hurts them! They are hungry, thirsty & scared, they don’t know where to hide, we humans need to understand that they too have blood, bones and heart. Lets not hurt them, they may be stray but it is not their fault. They need to be heard too!
Let's make a difference!
RESCUE

The next time you see an abused dog that needs help, try rescuing it by taking it to the nearest Dog Rescue Shelter or a Vet! We need to become the ones with more compassion for these neglected and homeless souls and rescue them to make a difference in their lives. The number of dogs abandoned and surrendered to shelters and pounds are staggering, and those that don't find homes are euthanized by the thousands in many communities each year. Helping these homeless canines will make you feel rewarded in many ways. You can't change a dog's past but you can rewrite its future!
ADOPT

ADOPT the dogs seeking shelter on the streets, they deserve to be loved as much as the royal breeds that we otherwise would buy. Even if you cannot adopt one, do your bit to take care of the dogs in your locality. As the summer heat approaches or the cold wind blows, offer them shelter, feed them a tad, offer them water, you will have done your part and they will be ever thankful.
It is never wrong to fall for the ones belonging to the royal breed but they will eventually find takers even if you don’t opt for them but what about the unfortunate ones? Drenched in the rains, burning under the sun, curled up in the winters, have we ever tried staring at them with love? Let us do it now!
Remember, we have hands and limbs, we can run the world, kindness is the least we can offer given our power to feel.
Let’s get PAWSITIVE towards the Street dogs and pledge to help those unfortunate and needy dogs out, will you too?
SPREAD THE MESSAGE AND SAVE THEM.
